The black dot is the positive terminal, polarity mattered, did not work correctly with opposite polarity, seemed to Zener at 77-79V, tested to 1000Vdc for several seconds, will try with pulse next as that is what it was designed for TVS very high current could meet my needs, if works I will be trying to find a few more good parts.

Found an old timer that said, "there are no data sheets for this part, its like 50 years old and obsolete." however, basically a tube surge suppressor that breaks down at 60V. Can handle high voltage high current switch and very fast. You can characterze it by selecting a current limiting resistor and testing where it actually breaks down.
